CAD Design Consultant

Design Consultant required: Prospero Integrated have partnered with an integration company and are in need of a Design Consultant. If this is you, read on.

Brief Overview of Role:

Salary: Experience dependant £40K -£55K – plus benefits

Producing CAD drawings, schematics and plans for commercial AV installations for various job sites

Accountabilities Include:

Knowledge & Key Skills

Weekly:

Producing System Flow Schematics, AV Positional Layout Drawings, Rack Layout Drawings

Producing full installation AV Schematics and ‘As-Builts’

Production of bespoke metal work design

Assisting in the production of Cable and Components listings, including cable schedules

Specialist Drawings as required for custom production work

Tracking changes and developments in drawings & plans updating AV schematics

Uploading drawings to internal system for all users

BTO participant – Tracking all changes and updating drawing register within agreed timescales.

Supporting on drawings for tender specifications and raising RFI’s.

Occasional site attendance will be required

Awareness of new products and actively suggesting improvements on specified equipment and design

Ad hoc:

On-site customer facing pre-sales meetings

Engineer and programming support

New product research

Basic training on drawings for all staff

Essential:

2 years audio visual experience

Comprehensive working knowledge of current AV systems, associated IT elements and their installations (including AMX, Crestron, Extron, audio DSP, video conferencing, video streaming, digital signage, etc)

Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

Self-motivated and highly professional with the ability to lead and take ownership and responsibility of system designs

Ability to multitask, work under pressure and to tight deadlines

A desire to learn and improve skills and knowledge

Fast learner, energetic, enthusiastic

Adaptable and flexible to business demands

Positive ‘can-do’ attitude

Team player

Clean driving licence

Good numeracy and written skills
