AV Commissioning Engineer

About the Role

We’re working with a leading provider of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing solutions who are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commissioning Engineer to join their London-based team. This is a pivotal role for an experienced AV professional who thrives on delivering technically flawless systems and enjoys working on high-profile commercial projects.

Company Overview

Our client specialises in designing and integrating advanced AV and VC systems for corporate environments, including boardrooms, collaboration spaces, and large-scale deployments. With a reputation for precision engineering and client satisfaction, they’re expanding their commissioning team to meet growing demand across London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission complex AV and VC systems to ensure full functionality and optimal performance
• Configure and fine-tune control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX) and DSPs (Biamp, QSC, etc.)
• Conduct thorough testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with project managers, installation teams, and clients to ensure smooth handovers
• Produce detailed commissioning reports and system documentation
• Provide technical support and training to end users and internal teams
• Stay up to date with emerging AV technologies and standards

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience commissioning AV systems in corporate/commercial environments
• Strong knowledge of AV signal flow, networking, and control systems
• Proficiency with video conferencing platforms (Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco Webex)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, Crestron, Extron) highly desirable
• Full UK driving licence
